Esprit de She is dedicated to partnering with organizations that share our belief that a healthy way of life begins with healthy people. In this spirit, we could not be more proud to announce our official charity partner, an organization we know you’ll appreciate, too: Girls on the Run. Esprit de She participants have the opportunity to make a donation to Girls on the Run in one of three ways:
SoleMates are women who dedicate their Esprit de She race to our shared mission of sisterhood by inviting their family, friends, co-workers and neighbors to sponsor their race through donations to Girls on the Run. Simply register for your desired race and then register to become a SoleMate. Specific details for each local SoleMates program can be found on the "Local Charity" page, found in the column on the left side of your event details page.
Becoming a SoleMate is easy and comes with perks to commend your hard work. SoleMates are required to raise a minimum of $250 each. The top three SoleMate fundraisers in each race will be refunded their registration fee. Plus, the top SoleMate fundraiser overall will be awarded a great prize. Girls on the Run is a transformational physical activity-based positive youth development program for 8 to 13 year-old girls designed to develop and enhance girls’ competencies to successfully navigate life experiences. At Girls on the Run, trained and supportive coaches and volunteers teach life skills through dynamic, conversation-based lessons and running games. The program culminates with the girls being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5K running event. The goals of the program are to develop and improve competence, unleash confidence through accomplishment, develop strength of character, respond to others and oneself with care and compassion, create positive connections with peers and adults and make a meaningful contribution to community, all while establishing a lifetime appreciation of health and fitness.
