After years of being forced to sit on the sidelines suffering from Reynauds Syndrome and fibromyalgia, Georgina Bola was ready to be part of the race. She finished her first Athleta Espirt de She Duathlon in 2013 and is now busy crossing off items on her “Athletic Bucket List.”
Suffering from migraines and weight gain, Kati Reyburn knew she needed to do something. She changed her eating habits, walked every day and eventually swam, biked and ran her way into first place at the Athleta Esprit de She Tempe Triathlon.
After being diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at the age of 20, Nancy K.T. Lovaas runs in hopes that it will empower herself and other girls who face physical disadvantages to be as healthy as they can.
